Riccardo Beltramo, Full Professor at Turin University's Department of Commodity Sciences since 2005, professorship of "Environmental Management Systems and Certification". Since 1985 he has been involved in the field of industrial ecology and experimentations on environmental management systems, applied to manufacturing and service sectors in remote as well as industrial areas, where he has had the possibility to integrate a Life Cycle Thinking approach with Management systems. He has designed and conducted several international research projects characterized by a high degree of multidisciplinarity. He has been Professor of "Environmental Technology", "Ecology" and "Integrated management systems" at the Faculty of Economics, and has also taught at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery "Technology and Ingredient of food products".He currently teaches at the School of Management and Economics, Operations Management, Industrial Ecology and Eco-management of tourism.In the field of Internet of Things (IoT), he has invented and designed the Scatol8®, a wireless sensing and control network system to monitor environmental and management variables, giving rise to the academic spin-off "The Scatol8 for Sustainability srl". Customizable Education Programs to Sustainability are one of the product lines of his innovative start-up company.
